CNTC appeals for uniform development

Dimapur, June 18: The Central Nagaland Tribes Council (CNTC) has appealed to the state Government to develop the state in all uniformity and consistency without any favoritism or prejudice.

The CNTC executive council had a meeting with its three federating units, the new elected teams of the Ao Senden and the Sumi Hoho with the Lotha Hoho here at the Tourist Lodge Dimapur on June 17 where many issues concerning the state and the three districts in particular viz. Mokokchung, Wokha and Zunheboto formerly known as the Mokokchung Elakha. 

The CNTC reminded the legislators from the CNTC tribes to recall their assurance given at the august meeting last year at the same place where the legislators had ensured to bring out some solution at the earliest on the numerous issues beleaguering the three districts such as Khelhoshe Polytechnic Asukhuto, Nagaland University Lumami Campus, the abandoned Foothill Road and the cessation of work of the Doyang bridge at Liphayan Governor's camp, Bokajan- Merapani highway taken up the NHIDC and the defunct Tuli Paper Mill. 

The CNTC appealed to the legislators to address into the grievances with all promptness and sincerity and to keep their word. 

The meeting resolved to form fact- finding teams from the tribal hohos and to bring out a report on those matters cited and will approach the government to find out a solution at the earliest for the betterment of the three districts which have been plagued by infrastructural problems, mismanagement, financial crunch and lackadaisical attitude of the government.
