Dimapur, October 21: A day after the Election Commission of India (ECI) announced that Nationalist Democratic Progressive Party (NDPP) has been officially registered, the NDPP today assured the people that it would work with full commitment to root out corruption and nepotism and leave no stone unturned to usher in transparency, good governance, restoration of the system and genuine development.

The NDPP assured that it supports early resolution of the ongoing Indo-Naga political negotiations in an honorable manner that is inclusive and acceptable to the people.

It appealed to the negotiating parties to expedite the peace talks and bring about an early solution that will pave the way for lasting peace and all round development.

The party said it would strive for creation of opportunities for the youth, realization of gender equality and prevalence of meritocracy in the State.

"We will promote young leaders who are committed towards bringing about positive change in our society and rescue Nagaland from the prevalent conditions of stagnation, lack of development and high levels of corruption and nepotism," a statement issued by its Media & Communications Wing stated.

Stating that the doors of the NDPP are open to all sections of the people who desire to positively impact the society for a better and more rewarding future, it said the party would stand for true justice and fight for emergence of truth.

It further assured the people that the NDPP would be a people's movement where all citizens, irrespective of any background are equal stakeholders within the NDPP.

"The party will always listen to the voice of the people and our policies and actions will be guided by the aspirations of the masses," it added.

The NDPP would soon release a detailed roadmap of consultative meetings, party launching programmes at the different regions, conduct of general convention, release of party manifesto and vision documents, etc.

All rank and file of the NDPP has extended its appreciation to the ECI for accepting the application of the party and expediting the process of registration in a smooth manner.
